Military Ministry

Our military ministry philosophy differs slightly from the “norm.” You won’t see any neon flashing “military ministry” signs around here. You will rarely find yourself in a classroom full of nothing but short-haired men.  It is not that we are against targeting our military with vibrant ministry. We’re all for it! But our approach might be aptly described as “family-oriented.”

Our intention towards our military men, women, and families is clear: We want to become your home away from home, your family away from family. Rather than single you out, we want to take you in!

We seek to accomplish this task through four main avenues:

1) Provide a warm, Christ-centered family atmosphere in which you can join us in worshipping the One True God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength.

2) Plug you and your family into vibrant, relevant Bible study groups. Our classes are full of both military and civilians who are in the same life situations as you are, and are eager to share the life of faith in Christ with you and yours.

3) Offer you growth, ministry and service opportunities as a fully participating member of TLBC.

4) Love and care for your family during deployments and times of absence.
                a) We do this primarily through personal and relational means. Your brothers and sisters in Christ here at TLBC will care for you during the challenging times just as surely as they will during the times of refreshing.
                b) We pray intentionally and frequently for our deployed troops.
                c) We offer a “Handy Man” ministry to wives of deployed servicemen whereby our members provide a wide range of home repairs and emergency-type services free of charge.
                d) We also enjoy sending care packages to our deployed troops from time to time.

So, if you are serving our Nation in the military and are looking for an eternal family away from family, come join us! If you are between the ages of 18-39, please visit the “Discipled Warriors” link on the church home page for more information about our purpose, mission, and values in ministry. Beneath the “Discipled Warriors” umbrella, you will also find links to ongoing Bible studies and Christian activities that may interest you.

THANK YOU FOR SERVING OUR NATION AND PROTECTING OUR FREEDOM! GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU!
