American Heritage Girls – Troop NC-2031

Building women of integrity through faith, service, and fun.

A Christ‑centered, character‑building ministry for girls ages 5–18, rooted in Tar Landing Baptist Church and aligned with the national AHG mission: “building women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country.”

We pursue the vision of AHG—to be a premier character‑development organization that embraces Christian values and encourages family involvement—all while remaining grounded in our church’s welcoming community.

Our troop grows strong in faith through meaningful experiences:

Living out the AHG Oath: “I promise to love God, cherish my family, honor my country, and serve in my community.”

Committing to the AHG Creed: “compassionate, helpful, honest, loyal, perseverant, pure, resourceful, respectful, responsible, and reverent.”

Weekly meetings (most Thursday nights, 6:30–8:00 pm during the school year) are alive with purpose—badge work, service projects, outdoor adventures, and faith‑based fun fill each evening with meaningful connection, growth, and joy.

Here, girls develop practical life skills, forge lifelong friendships, and grow in confidence, leadership, and above all, in their love for Christ—honoring both AHG’s values and our church’s calling.
