Trail Life Troop NC-4316

Adventure, Character, Leadership—rooted in Christ.

A Christ‑centered, boy‑focused ministry of Tar Landing Baptist Church, Troop NC‑4316 aligns with the national mission “to guide generations of courageous young men to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and experience outdoor adventure.”

We embrace Trail Life’s vision “to be the premier national character development organization for young men which produces godly and responsible husbands, fathers, and citizens.”

At the heart of our troop are:

The Trailman Oath:
“On my honor, I will do my best to serve God and my country; to respect authority; to be a good steward of creation; and to treat others as I want to be treated.”

The Motto: “Walk Worthy”, inspired by Colossians 1:10—“…that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”

Our troop offers more than weekly gatherings:

Outdoor Adventures: Activities like camping, hiking, and fishing provide hands-on learning in God’s creation, reinforcing stewardship and confidence.

Leadership Development: Using Trail Life’s rank advancement and badge curriculum, boys progress through Woodlands Trail, Navigators, Adventurers, and beyond, growing in courage, character, and compassion.

Faith in Action: Through practical service and mentoring, young men live out biblical values, supported by godly role models rooted in our church’s heritage.

Troop NC-4316 meets most Thursday nights (6:30–8:00 pm) during the school year. We intentionally foster an environment where boys can explore authentic masculinity in Christ, built on respect, integrity, and community.
