ServeNC 2026

One of the greatest ways we can demonstrate the love of Christ is by serving our neighbors. This year, Tar Landing Baptist Church and First Baptist Richlands are partnering together for Serve NC Community Day, and we would love for every member of our church family to consider serving.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Friday, August 21 – Help with setup and preparation

Saturday, August 22 – Serve during Community Day in a variety of roles
There are opportunities for everyone—whether you're greeting guests, helping distribute supplies, assisting with games, serving food, or supporting behind the scenes. Our goal is simple: to love our community well and point people to Christ. Volunteer opportunities are available on both August 21 and 22 at Tar Landing Baptist Church.

On Saturday, August 22, our community will be able to receive:
• School supplies
• Free lunch
• Games and bounce houses for children
• Free barber/stylist services
• Non-perishable food
• Medical screenings
• Dental services (by appointment)

Connections to local and state resources:
In addition, the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina will provide free medical screenings on a first-come, first-served basis and free dental services by appointment.

As followers of Christ, we have been called to serve others. This is a wonderful opportunity to bless our community, build relationships, and share the hope of the Gospel through practical acts of love.
